In this blog post, I am going to show you how I use Palette Cam to prepare for my portraits photoshoot and create a consistency Instagram feed. I also uploaded a quick video in case you want to check it out:

Below are couple steps that I use in the Palette Cam:
Choose a photo from your photo album that you want to analyze. You can choose your own photo or some photos from Pinterest as Inspiration.
Select the color that you want to build your Palette library. This library will help you guide your photoshoot preparation.
You can also go to Instagram and capture some screenshots from other photographers that you want to learn. Make sure the color palettes of their profiles are the ones that you really like. Then, import them into the palette library.
Benefit of Palette Cam #1 - Better preparation for your outfits choices
It will be much easier to communicate with the model on what's in your mind about the environment and what colors of the outfits that you want. It's better for collaboration and check if the model has the specific color of outfits.
For example, if you want to shoot some summer vibes near flowers, you can send the image below to your model to ask if she has any pink color pattern dress to match pink flowers background.
Benefit of Palette Cam #2 - Better consistency for your Instagram feed
The second usage of Palette Cam is to help analyze the consistency of your Instagram feed.
You can choose some portrait photographer feed to analyze and learn how they use color in their profile.
Below is an example of my Instagram profile and how I analyze the colors in my profile. Make sure you analyze more than three profile to create more comparison of the colors that you like.
